Base Update!

Those of you staying in prestige mode fanatically: Fabulous job!

For those of you having influence issues and finding it harder to stay in... there is a trick that can help you get a refund on your influence at critical levels and keep earning prestige. This trick works if you can bank up quite a few respecs that you don't really need, but are willing to spend at levels where new enhancements are available. Levels 32, 37, 42, 47 are the best levels to do this at, but it works at lower levels as well. The higher the better, though.

The idea is to use your respec right before you buy new enhancements and sell everything back getting a refund on all the enhancements you have slotted, but will be replacing at that level. It's a hefty influence bonus which, if done at higher levels, can result in millions being refunded to you. Granted you should always use respecs primarily for fixing your build, but if you plan your builds from the ground up as I do, you find that respecs can be used like this pretty easily. And you have may have one or two freebies lying around collecting dust from Veteran's Rewards. Use them wisely!

There are several additional rooms that we can add if control permits we may be able to add two more teleporter rooms which would be *eight* more portals to zones for us! Not bad for a little 3x3 base layout. I haven't crunched the numbers yet to see if control would be an issue but I have some concerns as we only have one auxillary connection left in the control room. If by the good graces of all our wonderful members we eventually save up enough for a larger plot, we can possibly buy one, but I'd like to make sure that rent is always easily managed so it's easy points and zero stress.

A suggestion has been made that we have a base layout map available on the website. If anyone has some serious Web-fu and is able to create a base layout map and get it hosted on some picture site somewhere I will link to it either in the side bar here or put it in a post.

Task Force this Sunday (Dec 3)

I'll be running Synapse again this Sunday. For those of you who missed it last time.. be there at 1:00 PM Central and we'll get things rollin'. I'll be bringing my 18 ice troller, Boreal Tempest and I believe my lovely wife will be bringing her 17 dark defender, Skreek. The level range for exp is 15-20 but we would be able to exemplar higher toons if you've missed the badge and want to snag it for your Task Force Commander accolade.

As usual, bring a couple of wakies, be well rested, refreshed and have a beverage handy for the festivities!

Hope to see you there!

Welcome new members!

Please join me in welcoming the newest members of the Crimson Permanent Assurance! We are getting large enough that I have trouble keeping us all straight, so I thought a few introductions might be in order. This week, our new additions are:

Mari Macabre, controller: A new toon from the creative mind of Ruin. Glad to have you with us.

Heart of the Phoenix, controller: A new toon from our good friend Earthfall. Looking forward to teaming with you.

Radiation Bot, defender: An alt of Brick Brawler, the friendly tank. Rad rocks!

Spirit Dragon, defender: Another new toon from Ruin. Great name.

Haru'ka, peacebringer: Teamed with one of my toons (Just Peachie) on a task force. Thanks so much for joining us!

We will continue to recruit new members on a limited basis--we want to make sure that we have room for any and all alts of existing members.

See you all in Paragon--

--Tulip (aka Just Peachie, Copper Cypher, Deep Blue Sky, Skreek, and Uncharted Territory)

That time of the year...

Leaving town to visit the relatives for Thanksgiving. We'll be back Saturday evening. Should be back in game either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.

As always, fabulous job on the prestige. You guys have done a wonderful job staying in SG mode and the base is showing it. I'll keep adding stuff to the base as often as points will allow. I just recently added two new teleporters with four more zones we can reach. I also added some workshop stations where you can make some temporary self buffs from salvage. I used some of the salvage to make some new stations where I believe we'll be able to make some longer lasting self buffs, but I want to wait to add those until we build up more prestige again. Please feel free to tinker with the salvage and self buffs. Leave any salvage you wish to donate to the SG cause in the salvage racks in the base.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday. Take care all.

Sister Psyche TF?

Is there any interest in doing this TF on Sunday?

I could run it around 1:00 PM on Sunday if there are enough takers...

This one is level 20-25 and I believe requires a minimum of five members.

I am 99% positive that they have moved the defeat 20 Freaks mish down to the second mission as -some- people were using repeats of it to power-level. *whistles innocently* I have no idea what they are talking about, of course.

Updated for accuracy 12/3 (locations and order may vary?)

Mission Breakdown

11 door mishes, 2 contact drop offs, 1 patrol

1) Door: Investigate the Freakshow (Skyway)
2) Door: Defeat Gang Leader and his crew (Steel Canyon)
3) Contact: Take the device to Andrew Flore (Talos)
4) Door: Defeat Devastation and his crew (Board Train)
5) Door: Defeat Punkadelic and his crew (Board Train)
6) Door: Defeat all Freakshow and Soldiers (Independence Port)
7) Contact: Speak to Robert Koslowski (Talos)
8) Door: Defeat all Soldiers in Base (Talos)
9) Door: Defeat all Freaksand Soldiers (Steel Canyon)
10) Patrol: Patrol Talos (5 locations)
11) Door: Bust Freak Leader and his crew (Talos)
12) Door: Disable Sonic Devices (Kings Row)
13) Door: Disable Sonic Device (Skyway)
14) Door: Defeat Clamor and her Crew (Skyway)

Welcome Defiants!

We have coalated with the Flame of Defiants & Defiants SG. Please be nice to them they seem like a nice group of people. I've had the pleasure of teaming with Fayr, an awesome healer, quite a few times over the past week or so. I got a chance to team up with several other SG members of theirs this evening. Aesop, Wylder, Nightblayde, Onah, and America's Eagle. They have a global chat channel called Defiants, if you'd like to join it and chat with them. Or you can always use the coalition chat. We've created a coalition with both of their SG's. Defians and Flame of Defiants. They have a pretty nice looking base too. I think they have all the portals so feel free to use them.
